I absolutely love mine. I'm trying to think of anything negative but really can't find much. I only wish there were more low profile caps options available. Answer from m-nightwalker on reddit.com

Keychron K3 Max Review - Enter the Dongle - SemiPro Tech+Gear
August 6, 2024 - But not only is that an upgrade over the K3 Pro, Keychron has a quality implementation of this connection in the K3 Max. I used the 2.4GHz connection at a distance of about 3.1ft from the keyboard to my Macbook dock, with a few desk items in the line of sight, and the connection was very stable.

Keychron K3 Max Review
The Keychron K3 Max is an ultra-slim, frameless, low-profile mechanical keyboard that’s ideal for minimalist setups and frequent flyers. Introduction Keychron claims its K3 Max is one of the world’s thinnest mechanical keyboards. I’m inclined to agree, though it isn’t the smallest keyboard ever. You could buy collapsible low-profile ones that folded into a thin, hard case decades ago, and some people still crave the old Blackberry approach on the go. But when it comes to squeezing complex mechanical switches into a tight place, you have to reengineer those tiny moving parts to fit.

The Keychron K3 Max is a small and versatile device, but can it keep up with the most popular boards of 2024? The Keychron K3 Max is almost like an assassin. It sits there, low-profile and unobtrusive, dressed mostly in shades of grey. Until you tap a key, it comes to life and surprises you with its full capabilities. Many of the keyboards I’ve tested have been heavy or bulky. A lot of the time, the durable metal chassis renders a keyboard impractical for swapping around devices, or fo

A bit too sensitive for my taste. I used the Keychron K3 Max for a few weeks and this review sums up my experiences from hands-on use. It'a solid build, has great battery life, and supports hot-swap. Keychron K3 Max UK ISO Reviewed - Gadgetoid Gadgetoid
July 14, 2024 - The K3 Max is very much for muchness to the K3 Pro. I opted for a UK ISO version with red switches to give myself the most differentiators to write about. That leaves me with not an awful lot of new things to say, so you should definitely read my K3 Pro review first. The TLDR is that I like Keychron’s low profile, eminently portable keyboards – ever since I bought the K7 to use with my Steam Deck – and the K3 Max is no exception.

Keychron K3 Max: this review is written with it - KLGadgetGuy
April 11, 2025 - The Keychron K3 Max is a 75% keyboard so it will fit well in a small workspace, even if you want to take it around with you, it weighs just 525g which is similar to a 10-inch tablet, hence it doesn’t weigh down my bags if I were to take it along to use it with my laptop. The keyboard’s build quality is solid as you would come to expect from a Keychron product, it has an alumnium frame and plastic base, the keycaps are double-shot PBT material that doesn’t attract smudges and feels really smooth, there’s also redesigned stabilizers on bigger keys such as the space bar, enter, left Shift and backspace keys.

Although I discovered there are quite a few reputable brands in the market, Keychron stood out as a solid choice for my first experience into fully configurable mechanical keyboards. I was drawn to the K7's compact size, but I value having dedicated media keys. The trade-off in terms of size was more than acceptable, so ultimately, I chose the K3 Max with RGB lights and hot-swappable red switches.

r/Keychron on Reddit: Keychron K3v2 or K3 Max?
August 30, 2024 -

Hi,

i need some advice. I’m looking for an office keyboard and got the K3v2 at home for gaming / office with the optical brown switches.
It’s a great keyboard and even survived a full cup of tea spilled over it.

So, I’m thinking about getting the K3v2 for my office job or – would it make sense to take the k3 Max?

I’ve read a lot about switches and keys – and heard some sound-tests on YT (Useless) but I’m wondering if some of you had to make the same discission, what the choose and if they are happy with their choice.

For my use case, office, I don’t need the Backlight, VIA for turning off keys or reconfiguration would be great but it’s not a must have.
1000mhz connection – I don’t care, will use a cable anyway.

Only important thing is the low profile keys :)

Best regards.
