Do you have the 1 or 4 kHZ polling rate version? According to the product description, the latter isn't compatible with the Mac version of the software (yet?). More on reddit.com

My experience with the new Keychron M6
Got mine today and I don't like it. Its not as big as the MX Master and doesn't fit in my hand like that mouse does, already giving me a little bit of wrist pain. Going back to the Glorious Model D and returning this. Also, the mousewheel is rattle-y and the overall build quality feels cheap. The quest for a MX Master Gaming version goes on, I don't get why Logitech can't just put a fucking gaming sensor into the existing one. More on reddit.com

M6 mouse is just .... crap?
I had a MX Master 1 since day 1, and just move to a M6. Indeed M6 is lighter and seems cheaper than the Logitech mice. I’m using the M6 on Mac (bt), Linux (bt) and on a Windows 11 (type C to my screen, from a usb 3.0 A to my tower). No lags, battery seems strong enough, I prefer it over my old MX Master. Also, I didn’t use the software. Did you try other polling rate in the mice ? More on reddit.com

r/MouseReview on Reddit: My experience with the new Keychron M6
December 5, 2023 -

EDIT 3: After 3 weeks more of use, I have started liking the mouse. The battery has gone on for 1.5 weeks before needing to be charged. This was at 5500 dpi and 1000hz polling rate via dongle connection. I have not turned the mouse off at all and still achieved this result.

Sad to say the mouse wheel is still sounds crunchy when in tactile mode, but despite that, the feeling of scrolling is quite satisfying. The infinite scroll mode has no issues and feels quite nice to use.

The software hasn't given me any issues and I was able to customize the side wheel for my needs.

Overall, the feel of this mouse is a comfortable slanted gaming mouse. The angle you grip it at is quite comfortable, but it may be detrimental to larger hands due to its shape. The narrow shape of the mouse is kind of a flaw imo, but should work fine for smaller hands. I have 7.5in x 3.5 in hands and find the mouse to be okay to grip. My mouse has a bit of flex on the right side, but this is just a normal plastic flex and nothing major.

The mouse is definitely worth its cost, but just don't expect great quality. It's not a perfect replacement for the MX Master 3, but a good compromise for those willing to pay less for better performance. Just don't buy it if you have large hands.

EDIT 2: The new Keychron mouse driver software is available to download from the website and it supports the M6!!!!!! I have changed the side scroll wheel to scroll up and down now and it feels good. Much more responsive than i imagined. If you game with this mouse, you can use the side wheel for a less annoying experience while keeping the main scroll wheel locked to tactile to keep it from moving.

Just got the mouse today. Tested it for gaming and web browsing for a few hours. Rather than a proper review, this is more of a personal experience thing and I'm looking to see if others may have the same experience. My two mice before this is the EVGA x20 (because its cheap) and before that a $10 Bengoo deathadder knock-off which i still consider my favorite mouse due to its comfortable, reliable, and still working but it has terrible DPI.

When I first pulled the mouse out of the box, it rattled. After shaking the mouse a bit more, it seems that the rattle came from the main mouse wheel. I think it's to make the infinity scroll smooth, but i will talk about this later. The mouse was smaller than I expected, but still large enough to fit my hand (7.5in long x 3.5in wide). The mouse is very comfortable for palm grip and the shape makes it so the thumb can have ease of access to the two side buttons and the side scroll. Without the driver software, it can go a maximum of 5000 dpi, which is kind of bad for me since i use 5500 dpi (yes, it makes a difference). The plastic used on the mouse is kinda cheap. If you squeeze the mouse, it will make a sound. The weight of the mouse is pretty nice at 80g tho (coming from a 128g mouse) Overall the feeling of the mouse is really comfortable, but feels kinda cheap with the weight.

Despite the cheap feeling of the mouse, the side scroll wheel actually feels pretty good on the mouse. Unlike the main wheel, it does not rattle and feels rather satisfying. The disappointing thing is that you can't use for anything unless you download the software.

Now the bads I have experienced. The main mouse wheel can be used with infinity scroll and tactile which can be toggled with the button located right under the main scroll wheel. The problem I have with the wheel is that when it is tactile, because of the looseness of the wheel, it sounds crunchy and annoying. It is not smooth at all. The infinity scroll sounds fine and feels smooth, but shaking the mouse causes the scroll to move. This is a big problem because lifting the mouse with infinity scroll will cause the mouse to scroll up and down. Thus I find myself constantly cycling between the different modes, which is a big nuisance especially in gaming. The other bad I have with this mouse is the software. The store page states that Keychron's Engine software allows you to control the DPI settings of the mouse and allow for remapping. This would help me use the 5500DPI that i require and allow me to use the side scroll as a main scroll. Sadly, the software does not detect the mouse at all. I downloaded the 1.1.3 software for windows on their support page, but both 2.4GHz mode and wired mode do not get detected by the software. On the store page of the M6, there is a link for software that supports the M6, but it's restricted on google drive, so I can't use it at all. This is understandable since the mouse just came, but it sure would be nice to customize my mouse's software. Other than these two things, Other than the main scroll wheel, the mouse is fine.

Now i just need to keep using this mouse to see if anything else goes wrong. If anyone else has this mouse, how is your experience with it. Also if anyone knows how to connect the mouse to the software, please let me know.

EDIT: Side wheel experience
