So this keyboard went under the radar i would think. There are hardly to none reviews (for the HE), and being in the upgrade stage for a keyboard, i decided to splash and get one.
Ordered it on 16 Oct, arrived on Monday 21 Oct. Really fast shipping to NZ. Arrived in a big box, and it is very weighty at estimated 2k (i haven't really weight it myself lol).
With the chasses all aluminum, its sold. Very solid. No flex, and can deal significant damage if used.... incorrectly. The keys are nice. And the switches are really smooth and they glide nicely. Its got the thock in it when typing. Being a MX Blue user for a long time, going HE takes awhile to get used to.
I've used it for work (I use a laptop pouch for it), which the bluetooth capability of it works alot in my case. I game with it at home using the dongle, and it is very responsive. I have adjusted the trigger travel to 1mm as for me, that's my sweet spot. Using it on CS2, i don't have any faults on it. I haven't ran out of battery yet but as of using it since Monday, its at 80% battery still so that's a plus.
I paid $432NZD or so for this including shipping ($260 USD) and for what i've paid for, it is well worth the price. Durable, HE switches, the look of it being 96%. I only have one tiny gripe, that there is no END button. It has a home button. But hey, easily remappable on the browser configuration app. But with no END key, yeah.... lol but that's just me.
I would give this 9/10.

Hi there, I just want to share my latest experience by having Q5 Pro as my new keyboard.
I used to be a full-sized keyboard user in the past 12years during my college, due to the computer in my college and at my home are having an old-school wired keyboard that came with the computer, at that time I was thinking that a full-sized keyboard made my desk is so much full in sight, not properly centered and so many movement when reaching the mouse, especially since I rarely used the numpad, and that made my impression in full-sized keyboard is kinda negative,
even after I have my first laptop, I preferably using my laptop keyboard even when using an external display, just because it feels better and more simple,
3 years ago I've decided to move to 75% low profile when the Keychron K3 launched their V1, just because I used to use a built-in keyboard on my laptop, it feels better than my laptop keyboard, and in this 3 years, I am a best friend with my K3V1, since it's so light and portable.
Recently the Keychron Official Store in my country offers a deal for the Q Pro series, I was thinking to have a try on reusing a full-sized keyboard, and trying to have a new hobby in mechanical keyboard universe, since my job is also requires me to having a numpad, and a reason to ditch my silly external numpad because the deal is quite tempting on the Q5 Pro & Q6 Pro, even though Keychron only put the red switch for the sale.
After comparing both Q5 Pro vs Q6 Pro, I chose to pick the Q5 Pro due to having sligtly compact size with it's 96%/1800 style, and not wasting some space between the numpad and the main keys,
with the build quality it has, I can say that I've changed my perspective on full-sized keyboard, especially with it's premium build & design, the aluminium material, the PBT keycaps, it's soooo nice to type on, even though this keyboard is very very heavy and the KSA style keycaps is kinda high for my taste but it's still feels nicer than I expected, the linear K Pro Red Switch is also feels nice and poppy, but it feels too light for me, I think I'm gonna try to explore some tactile switch for this Q5 Pro, I also bought the acoustic upgrade kit since it also in discount, the upgrade kit is kinda dampened the sound more and reduce the hollowness of this keyboard, yeah it feels nicer, I even tried to do a tape mod, relube the stabs, and look around what I can do more with this keyboard to explore my taste, I think I have a new addiction with a mechanical keyboard.
I uploaded the video of this keyboard in this link, you guys may take a look and tell me what can I do more to make this keyboard better, especially I am having a slight rattle & ticking sound on left side of the spacebar, I may try a holee mod for this mod later or maybe even get some better stabs like durock or tecsee which available here,
I am interested to some switch like Akko V3 Creamy Purple Pro, the Baby Kangaroo V2, or maybe Azure Dragon V3, can somebody have a suggestion for me which one is better? since it's kinda difficult to get in youtube that comparing the switches I've mentioned above, I know that this is will be subjective and and kinda personal preference, but I will consider any inputs for my consideration to improve and explore more.
Thank you in advance,
your new keeb mate.
