I want to get a keychron mouse but I canโt find if their software is on Mac OS. I donโt want to buy it if I canโt use their software
I'm planning on pre-ordering the Keychron K6, but is there any third party software I can use to control the RGB?
Does anyone have any problems running the VIA app under MacOS? I've just recently received my K8 Pro, never used the remapping software before. When I launch the app it fails to find my keyboard...
Do I have to use the cable included with the device? Since M1 macbook doesn't have usb-a ports I was using a random usb-c to usb-c. That's kinda my only idea why it might not be working.
Edit:
Didn't notice that VIA app doesn't support K8 Pro out of the box and requires custom keymap file. Links are at the product page for either ANSI or ISO version.
I recently was in touch with Keychron support, and they pointed me at https://launcher.keychron.com to configure my keyboard. This was new to me and I don't see it mentioned in this sub's history so thought I'd post it.
Paid 214 dollar for a keyboard only to realise that the software hardly works. Don't get me wrong the keyboard is amazing itself but it's very weird a big brand like keychron has NO software at all and the software that's available (VIA) just does not work and is kind of meh. Hopefully there's some kind of third party solution to this.
(the problem)
I have a keychron Q3 pro with knob and whenever I open VIA (wheter its in the browser or the downloaded version) VIA does not detect my keyboard. Replugging it does not work. The only thing that seems to work is downloading a .json for this keyboard and uploading it every single time I want to change something. Also there is nothing to change the rgb of the keyboard and there is no such thing as profiles for certain games which is VERY VERY handy and important (at least for me). Now I have 4 lovely macro keys without purpose <3. Keychron I love you thus far but this 3rd party software solution is just shameful and not a good image. You can do a lot better. Or at least give users the possibility to make some kind of software.
