Even cheap Chinese boards have RGB and macro software that allows you to deeply customise every part of your keyboard.
I really want to get the hotswappable version of the k2. It seems to have everything I want (bt 5.1 + 4000 mah battery, 75%, hot swappable etc) but I'm also super annoyed with not having RGB software.
I checked the keychron site and it seems their quality has gone to shit. Which really scared me off with people having terrible experiences according to the reviews esp with customer service. The key caps they provide are even blurry apparently. That said I am planning to order from a Dutch site that claims to offer 2 year warranty + 90 day return policy (super uncommon for Dutch sites and sorta hard to believe)..the price is higher than on the keychron site though (115 euro vs 100$)
I kinda like setting different colours for different parts of the keyboard. And this basically won't allow me to do that. They supposedly are working on software but also promised to release it in the second half of 2020 which is over in a few days from now.
Lastly I heard the brightness of the k2 v2 is lacking and that brightness is wildly different from version to version etc. E.g. People say the k8 has super dim brightness compared to the original k2. I mostly work in dark rooms and prefer it pretty bright.
Anyway, any update on their driver software?
P.s.
lastly
On their site they recommend NOT updating the firmware for their keyboards as they apparently might get bricked in the process. This doesn't instill a lot of confidence
Hello,
I just recently purchased my Q1 and I've been really happy with it. I was trying to figure out how to make caps lock blink red when it's on and I was introduced to the firmware versions.
I followed the guide on the Keychron website but I have no idea what the numbers mean and do I already have the lates firmware so it's unneccessary to update.
This is the text provided while following the guide:
HID\VID_3434&PID_0108&REV_0200&MI_02&Col04
I downloaded the most recent firmware and it seems to be 2.3v for the ISO non knob version.
Does the text mean that I have a version of 1.08? Any help would be really appreciated.
Hey! Are there any updates about the software that allows remapping the keys on K2? The last mention I could find of it was a year ago in Kickstarter comments.
I've had to remove the light switch keycap to avoid hitting it when reaching for Delete, and I'd love to switch them around.
