How do i do keyword research?
To do keyword research, there are several steps you can follow: Use keyword research tools: they can provide insights into search volume, competition level, and related keywords. These tools can help you identify keywords with high search volume and low competition. Analyze search engine results pages (SERPs): Look at the results page for a specific keyword on search engines like Google. This can give you an idea of the popularity and competition for that keyword. Check social media: Search for your keywords on platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Analyze user engagement with posts or tweets containing those keywords to gauge popularity. Monitor website analytics: Use your website analytics data to see how much organic search traffic you're receiving from specific keywords. When selecting keywords to target, consider the following factors: Search volume: Keywords with high search volume can bring more traffic, but they may also have higher competition. Conversely, low search volume keywords may be less competitive but bring in less traffic. Buyer's journey: Consider the stage your target audience is in their buyer's journey. Tailor your keywords to match the mindset of users at different stages of the customer journey (e.g., informational vs. transactional keywords). Long-tail keywords: These are more specific keyword phrases with lower search volumes but potentially higher conversion rates. By incorporating long-tail keywords alongside broader keywords, you can drive qualified traffic to your site. After identifying your target keywords, you should place them strategically on your website: Page titles and meta-descriptions: Use keywords in page titles and meta-descriptions to signal relevance to search engines and users. Content: Incorporate keywords naturally within your content. Avoid keyword stuffing and focus on providing valuable information to the reader. URLs: Use keywords in URL structures to improve search engine visibility. Regarding keyword intent, you can optimize your content for a specific intent by: Reviewing search engine results for your target keyword. Analyze the types of content that appear for that keyword and create similar content that aligns with the intent you want to target. Tailor your content to cater to the specific needs and questions of your target audience. This will help attract the right visitors who are more likely to convert. Remember, SEO is an ongoing process, and it is essential to monitor your results, track keyword performance, and make adjustments as needed. Sources: 1. Keyword Research Best Practices for SEO 2. How to do Keyword research without spending 100-200$ every month on tools like SEMrush?
The Google Keyword Planner tool is free, and gives you loads of data. KeywordSurfer isn’t too bad either, if you’re looking for an alternative to Keywords Everywhere - which is still very reasonably priced if you ask me. UberSuggest is free, but it’s always sluggish for me. More on reddit.com

How is this Free Keyword Research Tool Different than Google Keyword Planner?
I'm a little biased, but I'd like to think this keyword tool we've built, presents digestible information to you in a way that strips out unnecessary metrics (that very few people care about and aren't necessary to creating top-ranking blog content). Google Trends is another Google product that can present directionally useful data to fuel your keyword research, but I like to think our tool packages that information in a more actionable format. We've also connected the keyword research process to a blog idea generation feature with the "Ideas" tab of this tool, so that you can quickly click

r/SEO on Reddit: How do i do keyword research?
December 16, 2023 -

Hello everyone, I’m new to SEO. I’d like to know how to do keyword research, knowing which keyword to target, most of the keywords that have high volume have a high keyword difficulty score.

Also after i have these keywords, how do i decide where these keywords are mentioned, homepage or about or contact? How do i decide that? Also how many times should i mention? Should it be in the same order like software company or could it also be software another word company?

Lastly, the intent for keyword - how to i optimized that? Like software company keyword could be searched by someone who is starting a software company or a client looking for software services. I want to target the latter!

Thanks

There are multiple options to do keyword research. The one I use the most often is to write an article about anything in your niche , make it good and don’t worry much about keywords. Index it on Google and wait until it starts getting some impressions. So this for 10-20 pages and eventually you’ll have a lot of impressions, even if your page is not ranking very high. Use Google Search Console to find the most frequent queries and tweak those articles based on that, or write new ones. That’s what I do anyway :)
