7-Steps Keyword Research With Google Search Console
This is how I trained my SEO/link building team and everyone was amazed when we started doing very well in serps. Not exactly writing FAQs but just paying attention to ahrefs/gsc rankings we were showing for on page 2 to 10 and didn't have a relevant article for. Create one and boom, usually within a week you're moving up the serps pretty quickly. Then, those new articles create a whole new set of ahrefs/gsc data to create more from. More on reddit.com

How do I go about Keyword research nowadays? Google Keyword Planner only showing ranges.

Have you tried the Keywords Everywhere browser extension? Don't know if it suits your needs, but it is an incredible (free) tool :)

Keyword Research: Google KWP throwing up dodgy results when research with Wikipedia URLs.

Is it possible some blackhatter is abusing wikipedia for ranking home mortage sites?

(yes, I know wikipedia itself gives nofollow links)

Or KWP is simply buggy as it is sometimes.

Google Dork Keyword Research... quick question please :)
Your mistake is that you're assuming what shows up for [intitle:"keyword" inurl:"keyword" intext:"keyword"] is the same as what shows up for [keyword]. Google is very smart. So it knows people's search intent for keyword. It also knows that said intent is different to a search for [intitle:"keyword" inurl:"keyword" intext:"keyword"] (or knows much better the former than the latter). It uses machine learning and split testing to optimise the best presentation of the SERPs for [keyword]. Suppose that keyword was 'magic tv shows'. Google knows key phrases mean similar things, like 'magic films', 'magic tv series', 'tv shows with magicians' and so on. So it'll make those rank for that keyword - even though the exact phrase isn't there. In fact, copy that heavily overuses the key phrase may not even rank at all. That's called keyword stuffing. Keyword stuffing is actively bad for your SEO as it's spammy. But even with just a few uses of a keyword, you'll still compete with words that are semantically similar. In short, focus just on the "naked" search results (in incognito windows!) to find how to optimise. And follow good SEO practice. Or hire an SEO expert to help you. Because ultimately, SEO is a guessing game, that relies on your knowledge of Google and how to make content rank. And it's much harder to learn from trial-and-error. More on reddit.com
