IKEA down vs wool duvet!
We got the IKEA wool insert and we like it a lot but we sleep hot so had to adjust what sheets and duvet cover we use along with it in order to avoid overheating. Percale or lower thread count sateen sheets were a must for us. We started with a linen duvet cover but it got a little heavy on warmer nights so swapped in a cotton/lyocell cover which helped. We also sleep on a wool mattress topper. Wool duvet + flannel sheets and a Pendleton blanket on top makes me shvitz just thinking about it but if your room temp is in the 50s you’re probably fine. Picking out an Ikea duvet set.
My mattress is a standard Queen, 80"L X 60"W X 11.5"H, a Tuft and Needle mattress.
The Ikea duvet's are specified as being a Full/Queen, but in the US a Full is typically 54x75.
In theory the Full is big enough for my mattress, but I'm wondering if I would be better off with a King size, especially if I add a memory foam topper, which would add an additional 2 inches in height to the mattress.

July 7, 2009 - I wouldn't go for a double of 200 x 200cm as this just sounds too small. In UK terms these are made to suit UK bed size of 135 x 190cm. So this definitely sounds too small, even if your bed is really low.
