I think bold colors like emerald, navy, etc will go in and out very quick. White cabinets are so classic, they might not always be the most “in” but they are never “out.”
The same way yellow and rose gold are so trendy for periods of time, but silver and white gold never get old.

Think about what the kitchen will look like in your house and what you are drawn to. An ultramodern kitchen would have looked stupid in our house, so we picked more transitional finishes. If I posted, people here may say it’s already dated, but as long as you aren’t planning to move in the next couple years, you should pick finishes that YOU want to look at in the next few years. The next owner of the house will probably hate it and want to rip it out even if you somehow predict the future and pick finishes that are somehow in style now but won’t look dated in 10 years.
