I don't recommend any Shark products, they work well when they are brand new but when they break most parts aren't covered by their warranty and they are unrepairable. For a mix of carpet and hard floors you'll want a vacuum with a powered brushroll that can turn off. Manual carpet height adjustment is better. For pet hair I have found all vacuums get some hair wrap so the best strategy is to get a brushroll that is easy to clean. You may want to save your Kohl's gift card for something else as some of their vacuums aren't competitively priced. There are a few Kenmores worth looking into but they are more expensive at Kohls than they are on Amazon, but I know that's because there's Kohl's Cash bennies. Kenmore Elite BU1018 $399 is a very capable vacuum cleaner. Hepa bags and hepa filter for great filtration. It has a strong brushroll with shutoff. Downsides are it has a short hose and it is heavy to lift. The identical Kenmore BU1017 is only $249 on Amazon. Kenmore Intuition BU4021 $199 is a compact upright vacuum. It has swivel steering, liftaway mode, hepa bags, and a hepa filter. Downsides are smaller bags, a short hose, and no carpet height adjustment. The Kenmore Intuition BU4050 $189 on Amazon comes with 2 more bags and an anti-tangle brushroll. Sebo Dart $549 is the BIFL option that will last 15-20 years. It comes with a 10-year warranty. The build quality is better and it is quieter than most bagless upright vacuums. The brushroll pops out without any screws for easy cleaning. Downsides are a short hose and it only comes with 2 tools when it should be 3. More on reddit.com

In my experience, it doesn’t matter. You’ll still get people who somehow think it’ll work for them. We tell our amazon associates to specifically mention that Nike adidas and UA don’t work and we still get people everyday trying to use the coupon
