The sprayer on my kitchen sink faucet is caught between two settings and won’t produce a solid stream. Unfortunately, the faucet (Kohler Artifacts) has been discontinued and I can’t find a replacement part. Any ideas on how to fix this? We do have hard water, so wondering if that might be gumming up the works.

Put some CLR in a plastic bag and submerge the faucet in it and put a rubber band up top to hold it in place (sometimes vinegar works for this also, depends on the minerals in your water). Let it sit there for however long it says to soak on the bottle. Might take a couple tries but that's what worked for me in the past. Also sometimes the faucet can be unscrewed and the nozzle taken off the hose. Not sure on that particular model though.

100% mineral buildup. Do what the other guy said to dissolve it, also check the aerator and screen for particulate. Can soak them in clr/vinegar as well

I have an older Kohler kitchen faucet with a separate valve and side sprayer (3 hole). The sprayer hose is going bad. In making sure that I purchased the correct thing I removed the side sprayer at both ends. The part that attaches to the sink uses the Kohler quick disconnect (that I cussed at until I figured it out).

Did you check the other end of the hose for clogs? I didn't find any parts listed for that model number so I think the spray head is the part. Try soaking the head in some CLR and then back wash it and see if it helps. I've worked on a lot of Kohler products and many of them are not made to be disassembled. The ones I did get apart were so scratched up I just replaced them.

The spray head can be opened up by using the four holes on the underside. If you have some thin needle-nose pliers (or I used a set of snap-ring pliers), stick them in two of the holes and twist. The whole bottom section unscrews.
Kohler does not sell a replacement aerator for this assembly (I checked), but the aerator is just a standard 18mm unthreaded aerator, which you can buy from Amazon or your favorite supplier. Replace the aerator and reassemble!
