I'm not aware of it's being particularly noisy, but I've only ever had SS sinks, so maybe I'm not experiencing anything I hadn't already been exposed to. And, with that much metal in play, there would be some clanging around as you move stuff about in the bowl. I keep the grate in and use a plastic dishpan for hand-washing or soaking any dishes. I agree with Bbtrix that maybe the Kohler faucet helps cut down the noise of splashing water as well. The Karbon is everything I had hoped for and I thank all the reviewers on GW for steering me to it!

It will not hold the wood cutting board. I chose not to install the rack, but instead put a drawer beneath the shallow end of the sink to hold knives (it's the "anything that cuts" drawer); and a pull-out garbage below that drawer.

February 5, 2022 - We had a single basin apron front farmhouse sink in our last house. It was ok, but we went back to a two basin in the new house. It took forever to fill the single basin and everything cluttered together. We’re babysitting our grandson today, so excuse the mess. The faucet is a Delta. The countertop is quartz. ... I have read several reviews saying the Prolific sink rusts!! I didn’t think stainless did that. Anyone have this sink and notice rusting? Also, heard the bottom is very flat and doesn’t drain easily. Any ideas?

July 10, 2021 - The sink is awesome. Its nice and big (we bathed our little girl in it for the first 9months of her life) and cleans up easy. I like that it came with a rack that keeps the dishes off the bottom and let the water run off.

I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of researching sinks and reviews which has been a bit overwhelming. Lots of sinks to choose from! I want a single bowl under mount style which is going on a peninsula with Quartz countertops. I like the idea off an offset drain but I am not opposed to a center rear drain either.
