I had seen a small bump on the corner from the Kohler manufacturer when I first received the toilet but I thought it was part of the design.

Recently, when I looked it's getting worse and opened the lid I noticed it extended into the interior of the tank.

This looks like a cracked toilet and would like to confirm? Is this something the toilet manufacturer covers? I feel like I shouldn't be responsible for their product.

call a plumber and get a better toilet installed, kohler home depot brand are garbage, plus its from home depot. There are professional toilets given to Plumbers then you have your crappy box store brand. I would just get your money's back and get a Mansfield toilet or American standard, and have it installed by a Plumber and you should be good.

Call kohler, they have good support. Tanks should not crack, and you should not have to replace your shitter every 6 months because someone here doesn't like the brand.

Here is Kohler's warranty sheet. They offer a one-year limited warranty and guarantee their products to be "free of defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from date of purchase". So it should be covered if indeed this crack came about as part of the manufacturing process.

I imagine it'd be difficult to prove it's a manufacturing fault rather than damage in transit or during installation but I'd like to think Kohler would take the benefit of the doubt. Try calling them and see what they say; I'm curious to hear back from you with their response.

I am a homeowner with a Kohler kitchen faucet that is leaking. The faucet is very old.

Does anyone have any experience dealing with Kohler over their kitchen faucet? Is it worth the efforts?

I am asking this question before replacing the Kohler.

I have. Totally worth it. You'll need the part number of the faucet which I found on a tag of one of the supply lines. Also the approximate date of the installation. Think I just paid ~$13 for shipping the faucet head/sprayer.

They’re excellent. You have to be the one who had it installed originally. In other words, if it was put in by you, or a plumber you hired, it’s guaranteed, even if it was a long time ago. If it was already installed when you bought the house, they’ll still help you, but the parts won’t be free.
