I also prefer a deeper one and a center drain as well. A sink is the primary works station so avoid gimmicky things like the "seamless drain"...which only moves the seam but doesn't eliminate it and "Workstations" that take up actual sink space..the ledge makes the entire sink smaller... and make sure the surrounding counter space is big enough to do the prep work. I went with a 33" undermount workstation sink from Sinksdirect (Versa 33)- caught it when it was on sale (~$600CAD). I love how deep it is, how clean it looks, and comes with a cutting board, and other accessories. I also really like how it has the drain on one side and you can choose which side to mount the plumbing hole on. If your counter space is at a premium, it could be a good solution. I love workstation sinks, and I like having the option to work at the island, or the counter, or the sink, depending on the workflow and what I'm making, and whether or not there's two of us in the kitchen. I bought the Krause single-bowl sink/faucet combo and absolutely love it. Easy install, especially since the faucet and sink are made to go together. Really like the configuration of having the drain on one side rather than the middle. And for being a combo set, the faucet is excellent and definitely not just a throw in. Also liked that it came with the stainless grid for the bottom. You’re gonna wanna use it, because the sink can scratch easily. For reference, I had a cheap two-bowl stainless steel sink before. This was a huge upgrade. There’s another comment about the depth being an issue for a disposal, but that hasn’t been my experience. You’ll have to move it down an inch or two and reconfigure some pipes, but you’re also freeing up an entire side under the sink since there aren’t pipes there anymore. More on reddit.com

Changed my sink to Ruvati in January 2022. By September 2024 the drain/basket developed hole from a bad weld job. Reaching out to Ruvati, the drain is considered an accessory and is not under the warranty. So keep that in mind when selecting a sink company More on reddit.com

Would love to hear people's experience with any of the above workstation sinks! is Create Good Sinks seamless drain worth the price? OR does anyone here have Kraus or Ruvati and love those or wish they went a different route?
What about Elkay or Bocci?
I have only ever used inexpensive builder grade sinks so I am not sure how much more to splurge on a good sink. BTW my island will be 10' wide and only have 1 kitchen faucet centered, and 1 cold water dispenser on the sink, so I don't think I can go to wide for my sink (prob 36-42" max?)

I have a workstation sink and have a small kitchen and so it gave me much needed additional counter space as I have the chopping board so everything is prepped over the sink as well as an attachment that has "holes" and so can be used to drain dishes or produce as well as just extend the counter if I want to put some stuff there. Mine has a drain to the left and rear which means that there is more usable space in the sink cabinet as I have the garbage disposal in one half and still have room for a pull out trash receptacle which is a huge benefit in my small galley kitchen. Having an offset drain also means you can stack dishes or soak pans in one half while leaving the drain unobstructed so that you can use the faucet without rearranging stuff. Mine is a copper farmhouse style from a small custom manufacturer and has a living patina so no upkeep at all as the patina changes constantly

I need a bigger sink than the dinky one I've got. A larger sink will eat into my cramped counter work area next to the range, even if just reducing it by a few inches.
I was thinking a work station type sink might act as an extension of the small counter area & be useful. On the other hand, maybe they're just cramped work spaces too and aren't as useful as the hype makes them out to be.
Those that have them, what do you think? Do you do all your chopping & cutting there? And what size & brand please.

We did a workstation sink (Forgive the window we're still finishing things, faucet literally went in today). It's not a huge kitchen (10x12 roughly). My rationale was primarily for the drying rack to help keep the counters clear (I know you can get ones that lay over the counter on a sink but this felt cleaner). I also thought the cutting board may come in handy. Not a ton of experience yet of course. I got a Ruvati one.

I own installed two Kraus sinks in my remodel (a 30" and a smaller bar sink). Both undermount. I've been quite pleased with them. Neither came from Costco, however.
