Flannel sheets - LL bean letdown
How LL Bean Flannel Sheets Hold up
Anyone have any experience with the L.L. Bean chamois flannel sheets?
Are the flannel sheets worth it?
I sleep with flannel sheets year round and was looking for the best set. After much research, I decided to go with the highly recommended LL bean flannel sheets.
When I ordered the first set, they were on back order for about 4 month (which was fine, I had other sheets in the meantime). When the first set arrived, I was thrilled. They were the softest, coziest sheets I had ever experienced. After about 2-3 months, the elastic gave out on the fitted sheet. Figured it was just a fluke and I returned them and this time ordered two sets.
Second set was once again super soft and amazing, except after about 2 washes, the pillow covers had both ripped at the seams.
Third set, after about two washes, the elastic pulled through the fabric.
I ended up returning both sets, meaning I went through 3 sets of LL bean sheets in about 4 months. And these sets aren’t cheap!!
The actual fabric is amazing but the construction of these sheets are terrible. For context, I was on cold with only the sheets in the washer. Like most things, I’m sure these have been cheapened and the construction is suffering.
Then I began my hunt for the best flannel sheets once again. I decided on the Lands End flannel sheets. They are also very soft, we’ll see if their construction holds up.
As a college student who has been freezing my butt off in dorms for a year now I knew I had to invest in better bedding. I knew flannel was the warmest so i went to LL bean, splurged on their flannel sheets and I'm so happy I did they are glorious. I'm dead serious, they keep me seriously warm and are so cozy. My room last year literally dropped down to 54, and if it were to do that this year I know for a fact these sheets would keep me warm even if there was a brutal snow storm. Just love it.
