Sorry if this is the wrong reddit to ask this but im so desperate at this point. I was in france a few months ago and tried to send a package from france to germany but i accidentally put the wrong address and now it’s been stuck in the post for a while. I don’t live in Europe so i can’t go to the post office and sort it out. I’ve been trying to figure out how to contact them without calling the number but i can’t find their actual email address anywhere and their online help system doesn’t work well. If someone could just give me the email address, i would really appreciate it. Thank you!

I live in the US and recently ordered something from a French 3D printing company, but La Poste screwed up my address and it can’t be delivered. The phone number I found for them is +33810821821, but when I call it says “Your call cannot be completed as dialed”. I also can’t see to use their robot customer support to fix the problem on their website.
Does anyone know how to contact them? I’ve already reached out to the company I ordered from to see if they can help, but I’m trying to be proactive

Hello, I saw what may be a typo, but the phone number also appeared as +33 0 810 821 821, so missing a leading zero as it would be dialed from within France. Might be an error, but worth a try. Edit: found this one +33 9 69 39 91 11, which is a localized number, not a 0810. Apparently working for many users who have tried. Second, the choice of courrier is the responsibility of the company you purchased from. You should probably wait for their response and see how they handle the issue (the package will likely be returned to them anyway), and they may have messed up the address after all...

I think it's better to stick with contacting the company you ordered from as they are responsible for the delivery from their warehouse to your home. La Poste is only a third party and inquiries must be made by the sender, not the recipient. Even for a French it's a nightmare to call La Poste (you need to press the right numbers in order to reach someone and not get an automatic message, long waiting times and when you reach them they will only read you the tracking information which is not helping you at all). It would be very unlikely to talk to an English speaker.

For private companies there is no external body to whom you can complain so if you cannot obtain a satisfactory response you need to consider legal action. Note though that for commercial deliveries the supplier has a legal obligation of delivery, so it may be better to tackle them. As far as La Poste are concerned, they do offer an English speaking service, although it is often difficult to reach.

If you are trying to contact La Poste, this link should have the information : Contact téléphonique, à partir de l'international La plate-forme d’appels service clients international est accessible du lundi au vendredi de 8h à 19h (attention, ce service n'est pas ouvert le samedi). Le service offre un contact en anglais et en français. The call center for international customer service is available Monday to Friday from 8am to 7pm (note that the service is not available on Saturday). We offer a contact in English and French. 0 810 821 821 If you're American, I think you need to dial 011 33 810 821 821 to get through, but I'm not completely sure on that.

In France, you have to bugger the website that sent you the package because they are the post's clients and it's up to them to complain to the post. Add to this the fact that when you get out of France, you usually lose the tracking (or reverse when a package get in France, you usually lose it too), means that it's near damn impossible to know where your package is. The website should ask la poste that will have to provide an answer though.
