I put this in a friend's rental. I liked working with it. It went together well. Looked good. Went back a few months later for a repair on the steps & still looked good. No complaints on my end Answer from boots311 on reddit.com

Thoughts on Costco Mohawk Laminate flooring?
We will be doing our whole house to help make the floors look more seamless and after we buy the stair noses we will be paying around $4,000 which you honestly can’t beat. Of course, real hardwoods would have been my first choice… we also looked at other laminate patterns but when we got up to $5/sq ft we might as well just get the real deal.

Costco Laminate flooring.. am I doing it right - DoItYourself.com Community Forums
May 26, 2024 - Solid Hardwood, Engineered and Laminate Flooring - Costco Laminate flooring.. am I doing it right - So I am giving it a go. The cost to have someone replace carpet with vinyl/laminate/bamboo/etc is really pricey these days. I am not sure of the upsell of the flooring itself, but the labor costs is pretty high.

It's not scratch proof, but the floor has held up to our satisfaction (3 years now). This stuff is cheap enough that I bought 2 or 3 extra packs in case of future water damage. You'll need to purchase your transition pieces (for between rooms) and any special molding through Harmonics online ...

Hey yall I've been searching for floors for the past few months not sure exactly what I wanted/ wanting to spend either. Yesterday I found these ones and I really like the pattern, and most importantly the price! as a house with 3 cats and a senior dog that can barely control her blatter. I'm really leaning to them as my front runner but before I pull the trigger on 1000 sqft I have some quick questions.

  1. Are they water resistant like they say?

  2. Could a newbie install them? ( I do heavy construction for the past 6 years so I'm definitely comfortable with tools )

  3. Will they age well or am I wasting my money by trying to save a few bucks

February 13, 2022 - Is it a Costco exclusive? $1.60 per square foot is REALLY inexpensive. I paid over $4.00 per square foot this past summer for some medium quality luxury vinyl plank that included a hefty workplace discount.

r/HomeImprovement on Reddit: Costco laminate flooring vs other low/mid price options?
July 18, 2015 -

I'm looking to close soon on a house and plan on replacing carpet on the main floor w/ laminate flooring. Vinyl is another option but it sounds like that could be more problems down the road if I don't need really good waterproofing.

Costco is currently running a sale on Harmonics Laminates which ends today. Researching a bit Harmonics is Quick-Step laminate, and supposedly it used to be one of their better products but have since been replaced w/ something lower end.

We're planning on looking in person today, most likely the Savannah Hickory will be most to our liking. Pricing now is $30 for ~20sqft = 1.50/sqft, regularly $40. Pergos are $2-$3/sqft, Lowes "Project Source" which was fairly well rated by Consumer Reports costs only 70cents/sqft. I normally associate Costco products as high quality w/ a decent price, would these products hold up in the same way or am I better off paying more / less?
