Is Landmark Global a public company?
I ordered a gift from Amazon for my 8 year old at the beginning of November. I knew it would be a bit of a wait, because it was “fulfilled by a third party” but the delivery date was set for Monday the 18th. I decided to have it sent to my workplace, since there are porch pirates in my neighbourhood and I figured if it didn’t arrive on Monday, it would arrive sometime during the week. I specified in the delivery instructions that they should not attempt delivery evenings (after 6) or weekends, as no one is there. Lo and behold, they first attempted delivery on Wednesday the 20th at 9:43 pm. Luckily they didn’t just leave the package outside the building. I immediately hopped on chat with Amazon Customer Service, who said they’d contact the carrier (landmark) and tell them to deliver during a weekday. The next attempted delivery was on Sunday the 24th at 3:30 pm. I was back and forth with Amazon customer service for a few days, but they were just kinda like 🤷🏻♀️. When I attempt to track my package now, Landmark’s tracking system says that they could not find the address (hard to miss an entire building but okay) and that my package is “being held” at the delivery hub in Dartmouth. Amazon has now refunded me, which… fine I guess? I didn’t want them to. They did it on their own without me asking. I just want my kid’s gift (it’s her second Xmas with us after adoption and I’m tryyyying to give her something she’s been asking for all year) . The last CSR said “if your package shows up just keep it for free. But also re-order”. I’ve contacted Landmark (left a message on the phone and an email) asking for the address of the delivery hub. Their first response was “we will contact Amazon”. I emailed again and said that “I just want to go pick up my package, please give me the address of your delivery hub. “ figuring someone would know if it’s part of their company. The email I received back was “I’m sorry I don’t know where that is”. So I ask you, fine Haligonians of Reddit - what are my chances of ever retrieving this package? I did order a replacement (delivered to my house) but it will be arriving after Xmas and I’m annoyed.
