You should be able to get a legion seven for 1800 on sale especially the gen 9 , last year about this time I picked up my legion 7i slim gen 7 with a i9 13900hx rtx 4070 , 16 gig ddr5 ram ( soldered and one free slot available I put in a Kingston hyper x fury for like fifty bucks boosting me to 32 gig ) 1 tb ssd at pcie4 max speeds Lenovo uses Samsung drives ( I added a second 2 tb wd sn850x ssd as a game drive ) it has tobi eye tracking built in , per key rgb , aluminum chassis , gpu is 140w and 230w total power to laptop Price paid 1800 plus hst in Ontario on sale from 2899 Highly recommend if buying from Best Buy get the Best Buy warranty it’s like 30 bucks a month and covers up to five years an incudes battery degradation so you’ll probably end up with a free laptop if you maintain the payments . You should be able to get a better deal then last years 5 for 1700 even with the tariffs and scarcity games happening in Canada . I am thinking about getting a new mini PC and the last one I got was from Amazon, although it's a Beelink, which is Chinese as far as I understand. I won't use Amazon for that again. I would think the best option would be buying non-American brands like MSI, ASUS (Taiwanese) and Lenovo (Chinese) at stores such as Canada Computers or Vuugo (Canada-based), but someone could correct me if I'm wrong.
