Hey! I recently bought a brand new Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i. So far, so good: it is a major upgrade from my previous laptop (which had a i5) and -of course- it is my first time having a decent CPU and GPU, so I am planning to seize the opportunity as much as I can. I do not do gaming, but bought a mid-tier gaming computer because of the specs (I do some AI & ML research, so specs are quite similar).

However, I am a bit worried about the proper ventilation of the laptop. Fans are (obviously, I guess) located at the bottom of the laptop, where the vent is (see photo). In my old laptop, however, vent was also at the bottom, but more "centered" (in the photo, the area in red).

I use the laptop like 10 hours a day, so having laptop stand is key. When I bought my last laptop stand, for the old laptop, I managed to find one that has an "opening" specifically where the vents were, but that is not the case for the new laptop. I've done a complete research on laptop stands and can't seem to find the perfect one; I mean, I can't find one that leaves the vent "free" and open, so that airflow allows the laptop to cool.

Other option, quite at odds to my budget right now, would be to add a cooling pad to a generic laptop stand, but I personally don't like the idea of having two things one on top of the other.

I would really appreciate any advice or experiences on laptop stands for such a great laptop. I summarized the "big categories" of laptop stands I found in 4 categories. Each of them has both pros and cons, so feel free to give your opinions on those types (or others). Just for the record, I currently have a "4" category laptop stand, and it does effectively block the airflow when I place the new laptop.
