I noticed that on these blogs Acer Aspire 7 seems to be well liked by the owners. I think it is a bit more of an all purpose machine. So, if you were using it for gaming on a daily basis, I am not sure how it would hold up, but if you were doing some coding, non 4k editing and some gaming it seems pretty solid. I sometimes read PC World or PC Magazine. They have generally liked the Asus Tuf A16 or A15. I have seen more reviews of a build with a Ryzen 7hs. Here one is PC World. PC Magazine and PC World do good brief reviews. These intel H chips do get hot. Im looking to buy a new laptop and found the Dell inspiron 5000 looks pretty good to me since my budget is €1000. It has an 11th gen i7 and 8 gb of ram.
I am not sure if a laptop with an 11th gen i5 and 16gb ram would be better.
I am buying it for daily use : YT, Netflix, Office & some light gaming (Smite).
Any advice or recommendations ?

Hey everyone!
I'm looking to buy a laptop for university, as I'm studying Computer Science, and I've come across an HP 15 with these specs:
• Processor: Intel Core i5-1235U • RAM: 16GB DDR4 • Storage: 256GB SSD
The price seems reasonable, but I'd like to get your opinions before making a decision.
Does anyone have experience with this model or similar configurations, especially for CS-related tasks? I'm mainly concerned about:
• How well does the i5-1235U perform for coding, compiling, and running basic CS programs? • Is 16GB of RAM sufficient for multitasking, running VMs, and handling larger datasets (as I progress in my studies)? • Is a 256GB SSD enough, or will I run out of space quickly considering the OS, IDEs, and project files? • Are there any known issues with this specific model (overheating, battery life, etc.)? • Would you recommend any better alternatives for a similar price point, considering my field of study?

I can't recommend HP, built down to a price and the quality speaks that, the amount of HPs I've seen with broken hinges istg. The Lenovo ThinkPad E15 gen 6/E16 gen 2 are solid machines, my work machine is an E14 gen 6 and it's great, the E14 is a 14" and E16 is a 16" depending on whatever you prefer. You can pick them up for decent prices brand new too
