As the title says. Im just now installing my new laptop and i dont really like the look (even after changing all possible settings to getting it to look more like windows 10. Should I change it to windows 10 or should i just get used to it?

Hello everyone,
I just bought a new Yoga Slim 7i Gen 9 Aura Edition, which came with Windows 11 Home pre-installed. A friend of mine owns a copy of vanilla Windows 11 Pro which could be installed on my PC, but I'm wondering what are the implications of this installation. I know it can free up a lot of memory on my new device, but is it the best choice? Am I going to lose any of the functionalities of this new PC? Or any support? There's so much pre-installed stuff that I don't know what's useful and what's not.
A faster and lighter PC sounds good, but I don't want to screw myself with this. Thanks for your help!

There's very, very little difference with Windows Pro for the average user. I'm probably over cautious but I first run the Windows preinstall and set up a new Microsoft account and Outlook email for that machine. Check that windows shows as activated on those account details. Then I update the bios. Then I make a USB install drive using mediacreationtool from Microsoft. (NB get Wifi drivers from manufacturer site if you don't have a LAN cable). Then I'll do any hardware upgrades. Next I do a clean install of Windows 11 Home. Run all Windows updates. Run all Lenovo driver updates.

In the past my X1 Yoga was prepared with the pre-installed Win 10 pro. So many problems that i finally did a clean install with the same OS and Lenovo Vantage. No more problems, the only thing i regret, is that i should have done it sooner.
