You probably want an industrial grinder like what these folks sell. Something specialized for large-batch grinding, and not just a commercial grinder aimed at much smaller batches but continuous use. You're mentioning 400lb orders and I think you'd be spending days at a time working a Bunn or two through an order that scale - at which point it's saving you money to drop cost on a commercial and push those orders down to a one-hour commitment. I used something a lot like this thing at my last roastery job whenever we had huge ground-coffee orders, it's hopper held ~150lbs or so and it could clear the hopper in fifteen minutes - it took me longer to set up batches for grinding than it took to grind the coffee. It really depends on what brew methods you like to use. I like to make french press and cold brew, so grinding 60-80g of beans at one time is pretty common for me. Having to do that in multiple batches would be a pain. Aside from those though, I rarely need more than 20g. More on reddit.com

“Large” Capacity Burr Grinder?
Hello. I tried using the search function but none of the suggestions in threads I read quite matched what I’m looking for, so I figured I would ask. I’m sorry if this has been asked before.
I’m looking to upgrade me cruddy blade grinder, but the only way I can sell the upgrade to my fiancée is by showing her that the new grinder will be easier. We typically need 250g of grounds at a time. I am looking for a burr grinder that will let me grind at least 250g in one “button press” if you will.
My thanks in advance for any suggestions.
EDIT: I weighed my grounds this morning - 205g...so 250 was a little too high, sorry for the confusion.
EDIT 2: A detailed explanation of my routine (I am fairly new to this hobby so please don't judge me too hard on any of my equipment):
Cold brew: I make a batch of cold brew in this on a two day rolling basis. I brew for two days and then transfer into a glass jar and brew again. I typically go through the 28 oz in 2-2.5 days. So, on average, I'm grinding 9oz coffee every two days for this.
Pour over: I make ~6 cups daily in this
Fiancee's French Press: standard 28 oz so ~80 grams.
I typically work 10-12 hours a day from home, so getting up to get more coffee is my brief reprieve from my work day, so I definitely do go through a lot of coffee each day.
