I did happen to find a few options on Amazon but I’m looking for some bigger ones. I got one for 20 bucks that’s 5x9.
I’m just trying to cover the basement floor. It can literally any style color texture etc, just need big ones like 6x9- or bigger. I have a lot of area to cover.
I haven't had much luck looking for large rugs on FB and eBay - even gave the old Craigslist a try.
Not looking for artisanal level Persian rug quality but struggling to find decent ones that aren't overly expensive.
Where is a good place to find decent large rugs these days?
Edit: Thank you everyone! We ended up ordering a couple of rugs from Bed bath and beyond / Overstock.
Hello!
I am looking to switch up my living room rug to something modern, abstract and lovely. Hoping this group has suggestions on where I could find a big rug, 12x12 or so at a reasonable price!
Thanks so much!
Edit: wow thank you all so much! This has been so helpful and such an informative journey!
I’ve been looking for an 8x10 rug but I can’t find any for less than $200. Any tips for what kind of sales to check for or places to look for used ones? My FB Marketplace isn’t offering much help sadly, and I’m not sure where else to go. Do big box stores ever have mega rug sales lol? I’m looking for your standard red oriental rug, if that helps at all. Thank you for any advice!!
Polkaat is dropshipped garbage. This is a bot using an upvote script - please avoid!
Look for liquidation stores. IKEA (in Canada at least) is having a rug event 15% off. Facebook marketplace can be good too. I don't like spending a lot on rugs either because of my dog.
Hi all!
My HOA has a requirement for each home to be 85% covered by rugs. I'm struggling finding large rugs for cheap. Facebook market place is failing me, so I've come here.
An exception is Southeastern Salvage Home Emporium - huge mammoth size rugs for $100. I mean its really remarkable if anyone lives in Tenneessee and has been there. But I'm moving out of the state and don't want to pay for shipping something so huge.
Edit: I have now learned the word for huge rug is area rug.
i just moved into a new apartment and want an 8x10 rug for my living room but they’re SO expensive. do you guys recommend any specific stores or websites for larger rugs that arent like $800 lol??
I need an 8x10 or 9x12 rug for my living room. I know rug prices can get pretty pricey dependent upon on size. I am in the US. So, i'm open to physical stores or online options as well. Thanks for all suggestions
Hello Frugal Army!
Any suggestions on where to purchase extra large area rugs for cheap and reasonable prices? I've shared a house with my sister for a while now, and I chose the basement as my half of the house (considering she has kids, it was the best decision). I'd love to make it feel warm and cozy. Any suggestions?
I’m looking for quite a few number of large sized area rugs. I’m on a tight budget and wondering if anyone knows where I can find new rugs at best prices? I need about 6. So far I found around $70 at a furniture store but they only had 1 at a clearance sale price. Anything cheaper?
Hi everyone! I am moving soon to a pre-war building and need to cover like 70% of my floors with rugs. I have some pretty large rooms like 12'x17' and also need a couple of runners. I am finding it hard to find large rugs that are affordable (<300) each. Do y'all have any recommendations? If I have to suck it up and spend more for something that's higher quality I guess I can save up for it but not thrilled about the idea lol. I also have 2 cats so probably looking for ones that are lower pile and easier to maintain.
I just moved into a place that's all hardwood and I like carpet more. Any suggestions on where I can get large affordable rugs? I am looking for something I can put my bed, large furniture on and that's soft.
IKEA has a pretty good selection
Go to a carpet store and ask about remnants. They are just leftover pieces of regular carpet. They can cut them to whatever size you want and they cap the edges like a regular rug. A lot cheaper than buying a decorative rug from lowes or wherever, but obviously you're going to have a basic look like you would find on regular carpet.
It seems like a 7ft by 10ft rug is $150 or more depending on the store.
We're renting a house with cheap tile based hardwood floors in the living room. Our sofas slide on it. I'd like to get a big rug to put under the legs and have it under the coffee table too.
Do you all have any suggestions for less expensive large rugs or other ideas to try?
edit... thank you for all the suggestions. I went to ollies tonight and got 3 huge 8x10ft rugs for 80 each. that place is great !
Looking for someone who might know where to find cheap area rugs. Looking for sizes around 8x8 foot. Thanks yall.
Hi all! My husband and I are moving into a house next month that has many wood floors. We'd like to buy large area rugs to protect the floors, but with all the rugs we have to buy, our first priority is that they are inexpensive.
So what are your favorite places to buy inexpensive are rugs? Online and in-person are fine. We're in the DC area.
Moved into my new place and the floors are extremely uneven and hardwood everywhere. Im looking to get two area rugs and a long runner.
Any suggestions on where to go?
i have been trying to find a medium sized rug that is colorful and not too expensive. i have checked in places like target homegoods etc but all of them seem to be too big or a bit too small or doesn’t look good. i saw one on facebook market place from loloi that i loved but it seems very expensive. i also want to get a new one even though the one on facebook was a good deal because it seems hard to clean. any suggestions
