Chrome Users: Please note that LastPass has problems in iOS/iPadOS and as of 13.3.1, the fault is still present. All is not lost however as LastPass in the below example is tested and known to work correctly with Firefox as of iOS/iPadOS 13.3.1.
iOS/iPadOS Settings
- Open Settings
- Choose Passwords & Accounts
- Select AutoFill Passwords
- Check the box next to LastPass
- Uncheck the box next to iCloud Keychain.
LastPass App
Before you can access any passwords, you must have the LasstPass app installed on your iPhone/iPad and be logged-into the App with your LastPass Master Password
Web Browser
Although this example uses Firefox, the process is almost the same for Chrome users.
Step 1
- Select the password field.
- Open the share dialog by tapping on the 3 dots (Chrome users tap the share icon).
- Choose "Share Page With..." I did say the process was counter-intuitive...
Step 2
Tap LastPass
Step 3
Tap the password offered in the LastPass dialog.
That's it.
Conclusion
Although not a very intuitive process, using LastPass with a browser on iOS/iPadOS it's still pretty easy to use.

Seriously, LastPass on iPhone has become nearly unusable. Just a short list of issues:
-
Oftentimes LastPass doesn't show up on input screens. Just nothing.
-
Sometimes the LastPass chooser blocks other elements on the webpage and there's no way to tell it to go away. I have to disable LastPass to use some websites.
-
I have to use "open in LastPass" at least every other usage. Then it somehow forgets whatever search context it had, and it's just a page of my vault.
-
Sometimes refuses to save passwords when you're entering them, requiring you to almost immediately use the lost password flows.
-
If you have multiple logins for those websites that do email first, submit, then password (like Ticketmaster) LastPass always chooses the wrong account. I can't remember the last time I signed into Ticketmaster with LastPass without resetting my password. I have season tickets, this is a constant frustration.
I've been using this for years and I'm just hitting the point that the built in password manager on iOS is more useful. What is going on? It's like they've stopped developing it for iPhones and are just letting it rot.
