We have lastpass and as I roll it out to users I am a little confused about whether or not I should implement OKTA for LP. We use OKTA for most other apps. Seems like LP having its own set of credentials and MFA might be safe as if a user is compromised wouldn't that allow the attacker access to everything in Lastpass?

The technical whitepaper on the website expand how the key is generated, broken up, and stored. There is also a technical limitations doc. I would also make sure to set up MFA within okta. Alternately, you can ensure people use lastpass by setting up SSO into okta through LastPass. Flip the script

If you have LastPass Business, you can setup Federation with Okta. This will Automate provisioning & de-provisioning of LastPass users from Okta Sign-in to LastPass with Okta.
