Same with me, I have followed both of those guides, did you find the solution? Edit: After contacting LastPass support, the answer is to disable MFA on the existing user accounts that you are trying to federate. Hope it helps

Where do I disable MFA in LastPass? I only found the area to exclude the user. Thanks in advance!
