Hello,
Wondering if it is possible or worth using Lastpass in a small business (1 person) that uses independent contractors to do supplemental work? The owner of the business is the only employee, so this means everyone else has a different email address since they are not employees of the company. How should Lastpass be set up to allow them to share a folder and some third party apps?

I use LastPass as a sole proprietor and I work with several independent contractors and clients. I have a personal, rather than business account, and require my subcontractors to use LastPass accounts when working on our projects. We share folders for a given project so I don't have to share individual passwords.

You can share outside your own domain. If you create a shared folder, you can assign that to the owner and to the designed contractors. With an individual account you can also share items, but on item basis instead of by folder.

Are you willing to get then all a 1password accounts? You could create a shared vault. We have a number of shares vaults that we use to ensure passwords are available if a key person is unavailable.

Glad you got your questions answered (thanks u/precisionroy !). Indeed, your 1Password Families account is separate from the Business account except in regards to billing. If you leave your team and unlink your family account, you can add a payment method to your family account to keep using it as-is.
