I cut for LawnStarter and I strongly recommend staying away. I been working with the company for about a year and it’s really difficult. Their support team really doesn’t care about the customer or their workers. You might get lucky and get a good person to service your lawn, but be careful. I know a lot of people have issues. Seems no money in it for them to cut through lawn love hence why they tried to contact you to cut outside of lawn love. Im guessing they just want quick small easy yards for $20 bucks. They claim you can make 1000 bucks a week cutting through them but at 20-30 a yard. Seems misleading on both ends. Thanks for your reply! More on reddit.com

The price was ridiculously high for a yard that takes 15 minutes tops with a push mower--it was actually the same price quoted to my friend, whose yard is 5x larger than mine. I have no idea what they're basing their pricing on. I told them the quote was much too high, and I wasn't interested, but they have continued to send me frequent texts. After reading the reviews, I'm pretty sure I made the right decision.

My lawn desperately needs aerated. I'm in SoCal with a 17,000 sq ft. lot (about 5,000 of lawn). Lawn Love quoted me $170 to aerate, which is a great price IMO considering the cost of renting the aerator and a truck from Home Depot would get me close to that.
The reviews they have on Yelp are very mixed.

Your grass needs to be 9" tall for a 50% price increase, your grass needs to be 15" tall to get a 100% increase, which is double. Pictures have to be taken, and approval must be given to get charged that amount. pictures have to show the whole yard at 15" to get a double charge. If your yard is this tall you might want to blame yourself
