October 10, 2025 - Work in a volatile industry so not super surprised except this time I was gaslight and lied to for several weeks saying how it would be okay. Feel like such a loser that I can’t hold down a job. Don’t even know what to do anymore. Also doesn’t help that all the other tech jobs are super competitive now. Just venting here but it’s so frustrating that even when record profits are made I’m just tossed aside over and over again. I don’t even want to work anymore and have ptsd from layoffs...

Former HR here - subtle signs your company is preparing for layoffs
Excellent post. I work in HR too and can confirm this is fully accurate. The one thing that always gets me though: the leadership that fucked up the company in the first place are always the ones that stay in roles. It’s infuriating. Have seen numerous times that they got pay rises after to reward “difficult decisions / improving financial runway etc etc” More on reddit.com
