Am I the only person that kind of regrets buy theater seats?
2 years later and I’m sort of over the movie chairs & want big comfy sofas

Why not sit in them prior to buying. Not sure if you're reading too far into the lack of information available on a 14 year old recliner.

I bought theater seats for obvious reasons...cause it’s my home theater room and they just make sense. I bought the ones with blue accent lights in the cups and underneath, power recline, power headrest, cup holders, and removable tables. And yeah, I love going to my theater room, but all too often I wish I would’ve just bought a mega comfy fluffy couch. Maybe even a reclining one.
The accent lights are way too bright and ruin the entire light controlled room. The leather makes a lot of noise when it rubs on other leather. The leather is supple but it starts coming apart at the seams quickly if you have children. The spinning accessory tables are tiny and cumbersome. The ajustable headrest barely makes a difference.
But more importantly... there is basically a single seating position you can sit in, and sleeping on them is horribly uncomfortable the next morning. While a reclining fluffy couch on the other hand could let you shift seating positions to your hearts desire and sleep super comfortable.
And no, I’m not looking for the obvious and expensive recommendation of “just get a couch”. I’m just wondering if others share similar thoughts that maybe, as awesome as theater chairs are and look, they may not be the best option in most circumstances.
