I'm not sure if I should post this here or somewhere else.
I have a used La-Z-Boy recliner couch that I bought more than a year ago, and now one of the recliners backrest is broken in some way and it now always reclines even if the handle for the recliner is not pulled back, and it reclines far beyond it used to.
I either want to repair this for cheap or if it's too expensive then dispose it or sell it for free.
Would anyone here know who I can contact for this to check if it is indeed repairable?
I can't contact La-Z-Boy themselves as I have no clue what model this is and I bought it used from Facebook Marketplace so don't even know if it's under some kind of warranty.
I start a job for an in home furniture repair technician job in a few days for a company that has a pretty big contract with La-Z-Boy among other retailers. I have pretty decent knowledge already when it comes to basic furniture repair as I've been in the industry for 10+ years and was operations manager for a good size family owned furniture retailer. I know La-Z-Boy has their own more user serviceable mechs that they use for their products. What advice does anyone have as far as being prepared with tools to make the job more efficient? I was told T25/ T30 torx heads are very common in recliner mechs and I know I'll need a decent upholstery staple gun if anyone has a recommendation on something more affordable and any other recommendations as far as odd ball tools that might come in handy? Thanks in advance!
