I'm planning to go there this weekend for Black Friday! For those of you who have one:

What model did you buy?

For those with manual recline, do you wish you would have gone with an electric recline?

Is a swivel base necessary? Or will rocking be just fine? Seems that most of the electric ones don't have the option to add a swivel base so trying to see what is more worth it.
Any overall pro's/con's would be helpful! I tried a Kiwi Babyletto and found it smooth but just middle range for comfort. Also not sure if it would work for my 6'2" husband (I'm 5'3").

We have the Rowan! It's great. Best baby purchase, hands down. I've never had electric recline and don't think it's at all necessary - our son sleeps right through the sound of the footrest being put down and always has, and it's not that hard. A swivel base isn't something you need to worry about right away. Lazyboy sells swivel bases for about $150 and you can stick them on any regular recliner at any time. We may swivel ours in the future, but for now we just push it around as needed.

I have the Harbor Town Gliding Recliner. I chose it primarily because it was one of the few that I could fit in comfortably. I’m 5’3”. I can sit in this model with my feet on the floor and my back fully against the back of the chair. My husband also fits in it, but he didn’t spend nearly as much time in it as I did. My son is 2.5 years old and I’ve sat in the chair almost every day of his life. It’s a manual recline. I don’t think it has an automatic recline option, but even if it did, I wouldn’t have spent the extra money. We almost never recline it. The swivel base is really nice. We have ours in our son’s room. When he was an infant, I had a table on one side with my “mommy station” with all my pumping supplies, and on the other side was the changing station drawers with wipes, burp cloths, cream, little toys, a few books. Being able to swivel between the two was great. There is also have a window slightly behind the chair so we can sit in the chair and swivel to look outside. The swivel was also helpful for those nights when the gliding motion just wasn’t working for the little guy. It’s another motion to help rock him to sleep. Personally, I didn’t like the regular rockers - I felt like the rocking motion was too bouncy and it felt like I was being thrown or ejected from the chair when I stood up and I was afraid I’d drop my son or stumble somehow. The best advice I can give you is to make sure you really take your time and sit in the chairs and that you’re both comfortable in the chair that you choose. You’re going to spend A LOT of time in it.
