Is it really worth it? I’m currently in Europe coming back to Canada and I’m wondering if I should buy a le creuset Dutch oven and claim the VAT.
I have a decent cast iron Dutch oven that will last the test of time but is le creuset really worth the extra $200?
Edit: I bought the 3.7 L braisers in Artichaut! Thank you for all those who said braiser!
Le creuset canada customer appreciation sale is 20% off is that a good sale or should I wait for something better? New to this and looking to build my dutch oven collection!

le creuset geeks! i might like to join your ranks.
i'm trying to find a le creuset saucepan (enameled cast iron, not ss or non-stick) in canada, probably both sizes.
all i'm finding is williams-sonoma for $355 CAD for the 2.25 qt and $295 CAD for the 1.5 qt. are these fair prices/as good as it's going to get, or does anybody know any other vendors to try?
i would prefer whites, but i also think marseille is quite nice (it seems vibrant!)
Those prices do seem kind of high vs. US prices. I wonder if you could call a US outlet (I got a saucepan in Marseilles at one recently and they had heaps) and see if they'll ship to Canada. I'll try to find the receipt for mine to get you a cost later but Williams & Sonoma US has the 1.75 qt saucepan for $195 US and the 2.25 qt for $235. My 1.75 qt from the outlet was somewhere like $75-125 US?
Hi from a fellow Canadian!
Unfortunately LC does not sell the enameled saucepans in Canada. Not listed on their Canadian site. Just the SS and non-stick like you mentioned. They do carry the Saucier, but I don't know if that would be a suitable substitute for you.
Your best bet would be to possibly find it in the US and get it shipped directly or if they don't ship to Canada use a mail forwarding service. There are some currently listed on Amazon.ca but they're going for prices similar to what you can get through WS. 1.75 qt in Marseille for $417CDN.
Best of luck in your hunt!
I recently took advantage of a fire deal Le Creuset Canada was having a few weeks ago and ordered a mug set, saucier pan and a baking dish.
First my order took 3 weeks to ship, when I tried to contact customer service at around the 1.5 week mark via email I never received a response. One week later I got a confirmation email that my order shipped.
Finally received my order…. The mugs are broken and the saucier is missing!? I’m unable to find a phone number to contact customer service and emails seem to go unanswered.
Has anyone else been experiencing similar issues?
I got this email ad today - I’m curious what the new colour will be but assuming it’s a new blue?
Has anyone seen anything about Black Friday/Colorful Friday sales on Le Creuset Canada? I was hoping to pick up my first piece but haven’t seen anything about sales, does anyone know when else they typically have sales?
Has anyone ordered from Le Creuset Canada recently but hasn’t heard anything regarding their order? I ordered end of December and have heard nothing. I’ve reached out to their customer service and socials but they have no number no call.
After the last customer service agent wrongly came up with the corker that items couldn’t be returned if the box had been opened (which was rescinded a couple of hours later by another agent who realised the mistake) we get this! 😂 So what are we getting, a refund OR a replacement, or both?! We request an exchange.
What the heck’s going on with Le Creuset in Canada, the customer service agents seem like they don’t know what’s going on.
Saw in Rockyview (AB) retails for $255 on their website
Saw this post on r/Costco and I was curious if it was available in Canada.
So first off, I am totally thrilled that people seem to be getting amazing deals at outlet sales and mystery boxes recently. Le Creuset cookware has been amazing to me over the years, and indeed I have become a better cook using their cookware. I’m so excited that more people have the opportunity to make great food with an amazing product. :)
That being said, my collection has grown very slowly over a twelve year period. Before the outlets, before the sales, and particularly in Canada and abroad, Le Creuset used to be a luxury brand where every piece that I’ve ever purchased (other than extremely rare moments at a thrift store) has been over $350 Canadian.
Le Creuset, from the Julia Child past and from when I started regularly buying it, originally refused to ever sell ‘seconds’ and that was were the price and the luxury of owning a piece came from; every piece I acquired has been a Christmas present or saving up for piece. Indeed I remember when they started selling seconds at places like Winners and Marshall’s. But they were different than the ‘firsts’ in coloring, yet still priced at $200 each.
So, however salty I am at the company (but not at all at those who got some sweet deals), I am confused as to what happened with their brand management? One could compare them to All-Clad, but they don’t hold heavily discounted sales such as these.
If one can get a beautiful ombré Dutch oven or brasier in a mystery box for one twelfth of what I paid, where is the value or the specialness anymore? I’m glad that they’re not throwing them away or creating extra environmental waste, but this is an extreme difference; I wouldn’t expect a box of 2+ Prada shoes from the company itself for only $50.
Anyone feeling the same way about the company as me now? Are they throwing away their own brand in virtue of capitalism?
I recently purchased a Le Creuset fondue pot from a seller in Canada, but unfortunately, when I went to use it, I noticed it did not come with the metal insert for the fire gel.
I reached out to Le Creuset Canada, and they were kind enough to let me know that they had extras they could send me, but because I live in the USA, they are unable to ship them to me.
Has anyone else encountered an issue like this, and if so, how did you resolve it?
I’ve heard good things about them, and I’m in love with the look. But their price! I might be willing to get one (I’m thinking of a Dutch oven) if they’re really with it. Thoughts?
I ordered a French press but the colour doesn’t look good in person. I have submitted a return request online 2 weeks ago but haven’t hear anything. I also sent them an email with no response. I have found some bad Google reviews about them so at this point I am kinda worried that I won’t get my money back. How are others experiences with returning items to Le Creuset Canada?
Im seeing a lot of people on tiktok with mystery boxes and was wondering how they work. Should I be checking le creuset’s social media? Or do they send out emails? Simply call the store? Thanks !! I’m in Quebec City btw
