Leggett and Platt remote repair
Replacement remote control for Springwall adjustable bed?
Who has the inside scoop on Richmat Adjustable Frame control boxes and Remotes?
Are there universal remotes for beds like there are for TVs?

I don't know if this sub is still active but I'm hoping.
The remote control for the Leggett & Platt Sleep 6000 adjustable bed just plain sucks because of it's over sensitive flat buttons integrated into the surface. You can't pick it up, set it down, move it, reach for it or look at it wrong without sending the head down or the foot up or vice versa or start a vibration session.
I've spoken with L&P, who agreed that hard buttons on the Sleep 6000s remote would have been a better design, but they have no plans to make any available for this bed. They did hook me up with a phone app that works the same as the remote, but there are some glitches keeping me in pursuit of an improved physical remote.
So far, all I've found in 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘥𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭 searches has been replacements for specific popular adjustable beds or remotes claiming to be so universal you can program them to do anything.
Thought I'd ask around before sinking money and time into potential duds, or just giving up.
Thanks much

So the remote dropped from a significant height and now the controls are “inverted” into the casing. Using a pen to push the buttons doesn’t “click” like usual, but I haven’t even put batteries in yet to see if the motherboard still functions.
Any ideas of what to do after I get the casing separated?
Update: I put the fresh batteries, replaced everything in place and... nothing. It’s kaputs... RIP remote. I was able to contact mattress firm and they gave me the number to their Firm Care support, which I forgot I had a 5 year plan with. So I’ll call them on tomorrow. Was cool to tear it all apart and look inside tho. Had fun, learned lots.
Update 2: So I got it working! Kind of. Apparently I was putting the motherboard into the wrong slot placement. this little metal doodad holds the motherboard in place inside the remote, right? The problem was I had put it slightly above the correct spot so it wasn’t seated properly for the battery to register. Pretty silly of me honestly. 😅 It lights up and everything but only registers actions maybe a quarter of the time, so the motherboard is definitely broken. I don’t exactly move the bed around much though so it’s fine for now until a replacement comes in.
Still trying to get a hold of L&P customer service. After being on hold for an hour to have the call drop, kinda peeved.
