Are Adirondack chairs comfortable?
What are Adirondack chairs made from?
What's the difference between a classic Adirondack chair and some other Adirondack chair styles, like coastal or farmhouse?
I need to buy 4 decent adirondack chairs and after hours of researching Polywood and other US made recycled plastic options anywhere from $220 to $900 each I checked costco.com again and see they have what seems to basically be a housebrand Leisure Line for $169.99. A bit of googling doesn't net me much feedback other than a few reddit posts and sponsored blogs. The company is Canadian but they seem to avoid saying where the chairs are made in contrast to the other companies bragging US made.
Few questions;
-
Anyone buy these in past years? Thoughts on how they have held up?
-
Quality compared to brands like Lifetime or Polywood (both actually have quite a few bad recent reviews despite their reputation for quality).
-
Most importantly, when do these show up in stores? I'm in SF Bay Area, and I'm wondering if I should pull the trigger at 169.99 each shipped or find a store selling them for $130. I may have missed the date.
Thanks!
Edit: I ended up buying 2 to see the quality, they haven't arrived yet and now they aren't on the website, replaced with polywood rocking chairs for $100 more. Oh well, that's what I get for dawdling with costco stuff.
Edit 2: Just finished assembling one. My father actually bought a few commercial quality poly chairs last year from Berlin Gardens and those feel way stronger, rigid, and solid than this costco one. But his were like 4x as much. Seems decent enough, i just can see where a fat drunk guy could break one of these whereas the expensive brand seemed practically invincible.
