Charge Ideapad Gaming 3 from type C
For more context, my laptop does have a USB-C 3.2 port. However, I've heard that you need a specific voltage in order to charge specific devices (in this case, 20 ± 2 V for laptops and 5V for phones). On the other hand, other people have also told me that I could just pluck the USB-C cable in and it'll work so me with my little brain is pretty confused. Thank you for reading!
Having issue with charging my laptop (15iah7 with rtx3060) with the type c port.
Tried charging it from a phone charger, and from a power bank, both doing nothing.
Is this an issue with my chargers' power (21 and 15 watts respectively), or is this model just not chargeable from type c?
And if so, what would you recommend to still be able to charge from a power bank, but through the main charging port? Perhaps some magic type-c -> lenovo jack dongle?
Edit: the type C charging is supported. But it will work correctly only for more powerful source. (How powerful – IDK. More powerful than 65W that's for sure)
