It won't. You unfortunately cannot bypass Optimus.

My Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6 is the one with GTX 1650. I've seen and read about many game will have better fps if the laptop has external monitor connected to it (Only using the external monitor while the main laptop monitor is off). The question is, does my laptop can benefit of this?
I planned to buy 24" 75Hz LED monitor, but I want to know if anyone here know or has ever tried with this particular laptop and got better result.
Hi! I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IHU6 with an Intel Core i5-11300H processor, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card, and 16 GB of RAM (2x8GB 3200MHz). I noticed while gaming that the graphics card is a very big bootleneck. I was thinking about installing an Nvidia RTX 5060 (it will eventually be added to a desktop computer anyway) using an m.2 NVMe 2242 to PCIe x16 riser. My question is: Is this possible and does it require modifying the BIOS?
