Hey, everyone! If anyone has owned or still owns a LENOVO IdeaPad Gaming 3 16" laptop, would you be able to give your review on it?
I one I plan to buy has specs:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 6600H
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 4GB
RAM: 16GB
For £590 brand new in the UK.
I just want to know if anyone has had these models or similar and if there are any red-flags or things I should be aware of (problems/issues wise) before finally committing. Any "poor manufacturing choices" that are present before I buy?
I plan to use the laptop for Uni, basic Word, Powerpoint and OneNote. Also plan to use it for AutoCAD and Inventor for both 2D and 3D modelling.
Aswell as personal use like gaming: Fall Guys, Rocket League, Grounded, GTA5 and maybe RDR2. Alongside recording with OBS and video editing with Da Vinci. I honestly don't mind the performance of the games I play (simple 30-60fps, 1080p with medium-high settings would do me good).

Ordered this just now and it seems to be the best at it's price, my main use is to play Borderlands 3 decently and general purpose browsing etc . Are there any huge flaws i should know about ? Will it serve my purpose well ?
I just wanted to ask one more thing , i bought this for gaming while travelling overseas so will it causes issues if i game plugged into an international power convertor?

For it's price point it's a great deal. I have it and am satisfied. The only cons are that the chassis feels flimsy (I never had any issues, but I don't move it much). In some resource hungry games (Doom Eternal for ex) you will notice that it will slowly discharge even though it's plugged in. This is because the supplied 135w charger doesn't cut it. Screen is good. It has a 2nd hard drive bay, but it only fits a short SSD. Out of the box it comes with a long SSD which can be swapped for a HDD with the supplied carriage. 1 8GB ram is soldered. That's about all the cons. The biggest pro is that you won't find another brand with these good specs for this price

I have the one with 1650, don't move it from my desk so you might not get the answer you need from me, It has worked great so far. The only thing that's bad is battery life

Hello there. Specs are:
-Intel Core i5-12500H CPU
-Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti 85W GPU
-8GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM
-512GB SSD
-16" WUXGA (1920x1200) IPS 165Hz sRGB %100 350nit display
I need decent display and this laptop does have some pretty nice display.
Is 8GB RAM enough or should i upgrade it ASAP after buying it?

I'm not a tech guy myself but I think for the price its pretty decent laptop. If you do design etc I think you better choose asus or other type with OLED screen I guess? Build quality wise, well nothing special, but for casual gaming and professional activities the design is really nice and elegant besides its 15.6in size. You should check your type whether the ssd took the slot for HDD or not. In mine, there are 2 slots for storage, one for HDD/normal ssd and another is for small ssd (I can't remember the type, MB). Unfortunately the default storage already took the slot for HDD with normal ssd so I should buy ssd with specific type for that slot Mine is ideapad gaming with ryzen 5 5600h and gtx 1650. What I can say is the display is kinda dark and the speaker is weird. The sound quality for music (detail wise) is pretty fair but the volume level is kinda different in many applications like the volume is damn big when I played stardew valley and dota but really low on valorant, assassins creed games, and meeting calls (IDK what the problem is actually). I can't really compare the specs so yeah I can tell you what I think about the product with the lcd and speaker

It's a solid entry-level gaming laptop. Yours in particular has one of its better screens. All of the ones I've ever seen for sale, including the AMD-based one my kid uses, have the lousy 120 Hz display. You will want to upgrade the RAM for best performance. An extra 8 GB stick of DDR4 should run you under $30.
