Depends on your budget. Its more of a entry level 3060 laptop, still capable regardless, since its a 90W 3060. If that is all you can afford, go for it. If you want a 3060 with a higher TGP, there's the Predator Helios(105W), Gigabyte G5(105W) and Omen 15(100W). All pricier, of course. Dont expect too much from the screen though, although there should be a 165Hz option, if thats your thing

Those specs look really good. Decent price as well. Im on a lenovo legion 5 with the same processor and GPU and I get decent fps with pretty much every game. The most demanding game I play is cyberpunk and unfortunately im not able to get 60 fps with the lowest ray tracing settings. I'm not sure if it's just Cyberpunk but yea that was my ray tracing experience. But with high settings without RT the fps is very good. So i would say don't expect a decent ray tracing performance with the 3060, unless you're okay with 30-40 fps. But other than that, every game should be smooth with high settings on 1080p with the 3060. A better option would be a laptop with a 3070 instead, but that's gonna cost a few more hundred USD at least. But with 1080p I would say 3060 is enough to play. More on reddit.com

Hey guys! I was considering buying a Legion 5 for school and some casual gaming after getting good advice from here (waiting for the semester to be over because I'm buried deep in assignments). Anyway, I just saw an IdeaPad Gaming 3 on Prime Day deal for €799 with Ryzen 5 5600G, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD and of course, RTX 3060. The Legion has Ryzen 5 5600H, the same RAM and storage with an RTX 3050. I'll add another 8GB RAM regardless of the choice.
Do you think the IdeaPad deal is good enough to take? I mostly care about longevity. If anyone has the IdeaPad or knows about it, are the thermals good?
