IdeaPad slim 3 15ABR8. With ryzen 7-7730u, 512gb ssd, 16gb ddr4 ram. Got it for $490 where I live.
I had to choose between this AMD and Intel laptop (15IRH10 i5-13420H) but ultimately settled on the AMD one because I didn’t want a worse battery life with the H CPU.
It’s snappy and works great for browsing, excel, coding and entertainment. I haven’t played games but I’ll try some light older games on it soon.
Display was yellow and dull when I bought it but it was a quick fix adjusting the gamma and colors. And now it looks pretty good. Overall feel and build quality is good, it’s a clean looking laptop.
With power saving mode enabled(in both windows and vantage) I got exactly 8 Hours 50 Minutes of use from a full charge doing browsing, YouTube and coding on colab. And it takes around 1 hour for a full charge when not in use.
One small disappointment is that my model doesn’t come with backlit keys.

You can play warframe on lower settings valorant also works but eh it's mostly very light gaming laptop I just play skull girls or minecraft works well though I do regret not buying a pc earlier when they were cheap as a laptop i feel like it's good

I have the same spec Slim 3. Have it for the past 2 years. It works as should however the battery never have lasted me that long, 4 hrs was tops, which is ok I guess. The one downside is that you cannot upgrade the ram(sticks are soldered). I wish that we had one slot available for additional 16GB(I work with heavy ram eater websites and multiple tabs)

I am about to place an order for this laptop and I would like to hear from those of you more in touch with the laptop market if this looks like a good price for the configuration below:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS
RAM: 16GB DDR5 5600MHz (dual channel)
Storage: 1TB SSD M.2
Display: 15.3" IPS, 1920x1200 (WUXGA)
Backlit keyboard
Battery: 60 Wh
Price in EUR: €600
I haven't bought a laptop in many years, as I mainly work and play on a desktop, but I wanted something relatively compact to take with me while traveling this summer, maybe even do some remote work away from the heat of the big city, play an occasional game, nothing too demanding (Skyrim-level games, so to speak)..., yet not too small (14") either, as I work with documents and text and I do need some decent display area.
Are there other good choices in this price range? I wouldn't spend more for a laptop that would only complement my main desktop system and would only be used while away from my home office.

May 25, 2025 - Aesthetically, the IdeaPad won’t win any awards, but it comes in a handsome Cosmic Blue color that’s very similar to the more expensive Yoga 9i. It doesn’t look or feel cheap. I was a bit nervous about the bundled software, given the price point. There aren’t that many apps and utilities, thankfully, but they do maximum damage. In addition to Dolby Access and Intel Graphics Command Center, there are six Lenovo apps, not counting the user guide link: Lenovo HotKeys (keyboard configuration), Lenovo Now (product registration and Lenovo and third-party upsells), Lenovo Subscription Marketplace (a link to the Lenovo Software & Subscriptions website), Lenovo Vantage (drivers product service, and Lenovo upsells), and Smart Connect (for integration with Lenovo and Motorola phones, tablets, and PCs).

Haven't bought laptops for quite a while - last one i had was living from 2013 to 2015 so the Lenovo of mine is basically the laptop I've got after that long not having anything and using only the desktop PC - obviously the desktop pc is the one that i primarily use and the laptop is in addition to it As for the impressions - Ryzen 5 7530u is definitly fast as hell ,and the integrated gpu in it is even good for some games I got the top config available in my country which is Cpu : AMD ryzen 5 7530u RAM:16 GB 512 GB SSD 1080p webcam Screen: 1920x1200 IPS 60hz no fingerprint sensor or windows hello Ships with no operating system install , default for lenovos shipped to belarus and russia nowadays so as result had to install windows myself Battery life is 4 hours
