If so, click on Restore Factory Keys and it should change the Platform Mode back to "User Mode, and the Secure Boot Status to enabled. ... Hello! I just done what you mentioned above and indeed it has changed to user mode but secure boot it still disabled unfortunately.

April 17, 2024 -

I would like to run a game that needs secure boot enabled. I tried whatever methods I could find on how to solve this issue, but nothing worked for me so far.

So what happens is, When I do enable secure boot the laptop tries to boot. The keys light up. However, it shows a black screen, restarts again and when I check the registry and system information secure boot is off in both.

I used to have it turned on when I installed windows 11 and after the fact. But now it's turned off and I can't get it to turn back on again

Enable secure boot by pressing F2 when the computer starts. Go to "Security" menu, then on select "Enable" for "secure boot mode" item. It Didn't work.

Says TPM 2.0 is turned on. Shows MGS Mode.

Check that "platform mode" is configured to "user mode". It is in user mode but it did not solve my problem

Restore factory keys. At the bottom of the "security" menu. It didn't work

Clear keys in by running tpm.msc. Then enabling secure boot in BIOS menu again. did not solve anything. I had to set a new password for my PC though.

Update BIOS. Then re-do each step again. It did not solve the problem either

I checked on "system information" window and the "secure boot" is still considered unabled.

Do anyone have an idea on how to fix this issue?

r/LenovoLegion on Reddit: Can't enable secure boot in the new 2023 Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (No OS Variant)
November 3, 2023 -

I recently bought a Legion Pro 5 16IRX8 - Type 82WK. The issue I'm facing is even if I enable secure boot in BIOS it doesn't turn on.

I have tried all the troubleshooting methods, Reset Factory keys, Clear keys in by running tpm.msc , updating BIOS to latest from Lenovo website.

But none of these seem to work. I'm really disappointed with this device as I really bought this device with high expectations and I can't find a solution for this issue anywhere.

Is there any new BIOS update to resolve this issue?

Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

Legion 5i. Just updated to windows 11 and for some reason I'm not able to enable secure boot in the bios. The option to enable and disable is there in security, but updating it doesn't change anything.

Btw, I need to enable secure boot cause of games like valorant's anti cheat vanguard.

(I weirdly like windows 11 so I want to keep rolling back as the last option)
