I've had a P1G4 (11850, RTX3070, 64GB) for a couple years now and not had any problems. Runs games (doom eternal, cyberpunk, elden ring) on high/ultra settings just fine, chews through solid works and altium designer workloads no problem. The ThinkPad P1 Gen 4 may be one of the worst laptops ever. In two years, it's been plagued with overheating, throttling, unreliable USB-C connections, and random reboots. Updates to the BIOS, drivers and even a motherboard replacement didn't fix these issues. The laptop's high cost adds to the frustration and disappointment. I hope for a class-action lawsuit to prevent similar experiences for others. Overall, my Lenovo experience has been deeply unsatisfactory.

P1 gen 4 Xeon A2000 here 4k screen. Don't trust reviews. It's great machine. Build quality is solid. Fans.. well, I am software engineer, so sometimes when I compile stuff they spin, but I do not care - mostly using headphones anyway. No issues with CPU throttling as reviews say. Using Linux though. Why did you buy this spec if you wanted double channel? It's mentioned in the specs if it will be double or single. This one is meant for people wanting to upgrade soon.
