So, a bit less than a week ago I received my T14 Gen 6 and said I’ll do a review, but currently I don’t really have the time to do a full review and I’ll probably skip things, so I figured out I’d throw and ama.

Oh and just wanted to talk about the noise it makes cuz I couldn’t find enough info on any laptop and it was determining in my case. This thing is SILENT. Only heard fans 2 time : in bios/when setting up windows install, and when compiling the Linux kernel with all cores @100% usage. However they can be quite noisy when trying to cool down 100% used cpu. It is definitely not running most time, or running at very silent speeds (which won’t be heard in a classroom or such)

Just while doing a little browsing, noticed that the T14 Gen 6 AMD specs are now online. Thought I'd share :) Doesn't seem to be very groundbreaking, looks like the same chassis as the Gen 5, just a new CPU and iGPU.

When Googling for the T14 Gen 6, came across this: https://nbreview.de/thinkpad-t14-gen-6-expected-features/ . They must have been smoking something. DDR6 RAM, PCIe 6.0 SSD, 6G cellular. It'll be a while :P

After 5 weeks, I have received my Thinkpad. Having fun with this thinkpad, great screen since I opted for the OLED screen.

Specs: Ryzen AI 7 Pro 350 32gb RAM 2.8K OLED with Touch (there's no option for no touchscreen) 512 GB SSD Opal 57whr Battery

Probably will use this for studying and for media consumption that's why I chose the OLED. Build quality is superb. Maybe someday I will install Linux on this when I learn how to hahaha.
