Just got a Yoga 9i myself, also came from a MacBook. Haven't even had it for more than 24 hours yet, but so far, really can echo a lot of the points you made. Amazing screen, build quality, and speakers. The stylus support is an added bonus as I markup PDFs quite frequently for work. If I had to pick a complaint, would be around battery and efficiency. It's not bad but not great either. Expected a bit more battery life and less heat/fan noise. Its early on, so hard to put a great gauge on it. Great 2 in 1 all around though, pretty satisfied. For the use case you described, I feel yoga 7 slim aura should also be sufficient. Is there a reason why you wanna go for 7, 2 in 1? I wanted a color that was wonky available in 7 2-in-1 and also the ram size is no longer available in 7 slim aura. My friend has that and it runs games that you mentioned just fine, it's battery life is similar to 7 2-in-1, but because 7 2-in-1 is touch, it might be slightly less performant. My experience with yoga 7 2-in-1 is rather pleasant. The only problems I have are mainly integrated GPU performance is not that good, and also its face Id is definitely not up to the standard I am used to with Pixel. More on reddit.com
