How do you feel about screwless wall plates?
Some people don't like how some of them sit. Some of them dont sit flush or collect dust in a stand off gap (lutron). Some of them are costly and people don't want to buy $500 worth of screwless plates for their house. Some have a notch on the bottom that is noticable when installed horizontal is not able to be covered up. Some break after a few uses. Lots of reasons. That being said, in modern builds I use them on all visible locations and use standards behind beds, inside cabinets, behind tables etc. More on reddit.com

December 19, 2020White Leviton decora receptacle not matching screw less wall plate?
I used Leviton forever until... I bought a bunch of devices for a project and found that they started embossing their name on the decora switches. Super tacky IMO, and will inevitably attract grime like an old school switch with an embossed ON/OFF. It made me mad enough to look at alternatives, and I eventually switched to Eaton and the quality of standard devices seems comparable. Eaton commercial and GFCI outlets are better than Leviton, with a nicer backwire design (not to be confused with back-stab). And from a teardown video I watched, the internals are beefier. The screwless wallplates are at least as good as design, and I have not encountered color matching issues. Prices for the wallplates are obscene for both brands when bought in big box stores. You can do a lot better from a supply house. I just saw them for the first time at Home Depot today when I was buying a GFCI for my kitchen. I bought a Leviton screwless wall plate and I gotta say it's pretty slick. Is there any reason these aren't the new standard? I don't see why I'd ever want a faceplate with screws ever again.

The only time I’ve used them the customer insisted on setting them himself because he wanted to fuss over them so that they were perfectly aligned. I messed with one of them a little and didn’t like it. The plastic clips felt kinda weak; like I could see myself breaking them easily. I think it’s gimmicky but if you like them go for it
