I need to replace my dying 40" 4K tv. I can't find any manufacturer that makes a 4K tv less thank 43". Why is this? I assume people don't think a tv that small needs to be 4K, but I can definitely see a difference compared to my previous 40" HD tv.

Even good 43” are more expensive than a decent 55”. It’s a niche product.

Manufacturing efficiency. The glass substrate (mother glass) is made in large sizes and cut into a certain amount of smaller panels to maximize material usage. You can cut 8x43” panels from 2160x2460mm mother glass. You can get no more than 8x40” panels from the same mother glass, but result in more material wastage. 40” is probably too big to efficiently cut with other sizes from the same mother glass. Cutting 40” with 65” panels on the same mother glass would probably result in more wasted material than 32” cut with 65” panels, for example. They might accept the material waste if there is enough demand for 40” TV’s.

I've been wanting to upgrade our TV (we have an old 40 inch Samsung TV which looks something like a 6000 series) in our small living room for quite a while (since our 40 inch sharp aquos tv broke due to lots of dusts and wire problems) , found a deal for LG C2 48 inch for about MYR4000-4600 ($850-1000ish). Specs wise seems quite good compared to other TVs this price in which I can't find any other OLED TVs besides this. Should I go for this or other TVs? Also we have never bought a tv from LG so yeah got a few questions :
-my mom says that LG TVs often go broken quickly or doesn't lasts long, is that true in most cases of LG TVs?
-Are LG TVs energy efficient?
-is LG's WebOS good? Compared to Samsung's TizenTV OS (Which I've used before)

- LG makes a variety of TVs, many of them not being worth the money (I haven't heard good things about their budget LCDs for example). This does not apply to LG OLEDs. The C-series OLEDs from LG are excellent and there is no reason to think it won't last a long time, especially if you refrain from watching very static content and therefore burn-in. Worth noting that LG manufactures all OLED panels in the TVs you can find. Sony, LG, Philips, Samsung OLEDs etc all use LG OLED panels. - No idea, I guess that depends on your definition of efficient, although OLEDs in general are not known to be particularly energy efficient compared to LCDs. An OLED will likely draw around 100W while under use. - I find it decent enough, though if I had the option I would've rather had Android TV to have casting as an option. Nothing you can't solve with a 4K Chromecast down the line though. Haven't used Tizen, so can't really compare As a personal note: I've had an LG C1 for 2 years now, and I'm very happy with it. My parents went with a Philips OLED around the same time, and let me tell you, that OS is shite, and they've had some other problems related to sound lagging after the image. Another thing to note, is that OLED picture quality is just fantastic and will blow a 10-ish year old Samsung LCD out of the water. However, it is good to be in a fairly light-controlled room, or at the very least not have a window shining right at the screen. When I watch stuff at home, I usually have a completely dark room, in contrast to my parents that have a very bright living room with windows aimed right at the screen, and the difference in image and contrast are quite large, though still perfectly usable

LG makes the panels for all WRGB OLED tvs. OLED tvs should not be exposed to direct sunlight or be left with static images like logos, news channel banners, or game huds. Otherwise, they are arguably the best-looking tvs in their price range. OLED tvs are usually energy star certified. They are fairly efficient, but not the absolute best in that category.
