I’m in the midst of choosing a refrigerator for my new house. Looking at an LG Counter Depth Max and a Kitchenaid Counter Depth, both French Doors from Costco. Will 100% be buying from Costco for the extended warranty and return policy.

I’ve read reviews on both, which are mixed. LG refrigerators seem to have problems in the past with linear compressors, although this one uses a different type called a smart inverter. The advantage here is the size, 26 cu ft.
The Kitchenaid is a more proven traditional design, made in the USA. However it is smaller at 20 cu ft. It also has wire racks in the freezer which seem kind of cheap feeling and flimsy.
6 cu ft is a non trivial difference, so it’s a tough choice.

I would look at some local Appliance stores. I usually shop at Costco but our local store had a good Frigidaire fridge at MSRP price and the warranty is way longer and was cheaper. They service their own machines. I’m all for Costco but I’d check some local appliance shops too.
