Downloaded the 2.0.8 to try it out, but it didn't load any of my 3D solids. I saw that it did load the layers, but there wasn't anything in "model space". ... Yeah, LibreCAD is 2D-only.

April 25, 2024 - From what I can see, Librecad, only seems to support 2D-geometry -- and 3D-geometry is discarded. I test this by creating a 3D-cube using drafting lines in Autocad and saved the dwg file and then opened it with LibreCAD -- all that I got was the top face of the cube, the rest of the lines were removed.

December 5, 2020 - It was free until recently but not anymore. Not sure it's the case for QCad but iirc BricsCAD works with DWG by creating a new file that allows you to work with the DWG natively. Or something ? ... I have tried LibreCAD t with large and complex files it doesn't work.
