This really is one of the best Soulslikes ever made, and in my opinion, easily clears the bar that FromSoftware has established for the genre. Yes, many of Lies of P's elements are derivative of the FromSoft formula, but the execution and care of those elements is top tier.

I had a great time with Lies of P, I can easily recommend it to anyone that enjoys Souls-like games, and I consider it the best entry outside of FromSoftware’s catalogue. For people who struggle with Souls-like games, I’m a bit on the fence about whether this one is for you.

If you played the original game, there’s a lot to get excited about. It looks like Round 8 Studio and Neowiz are aiming to make the game more accessible by introducing difficulty settings—a trend we’re seeing more of in the Soulslike genre. The bosses also appear to be more dynamic this time around, and there’s even a boss rush mode titled Battle Memories and Death March. Below are a handful of previews I’ve spotted so far.

A great game until the last third, if they had ended the game sooner and cut the ridiculous last few levels and unfun last few bosses (which are only to be cheesed and not fought) it would be a better game for it. I'd have given it 4 stars had I just quit at the illusion walker boss.
